Hey friend,
Have you been giving life your best efforts? Here’s some good news—you have an inheritance from the Lord coming your way!
Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
I think we can be much harder on ourselves than God is. We notice every shortcoming, feel the weight of unmet expectations, and constantly battle feelings of insufficiency. But God sees our efforts. He knows our intentions, and He even makes room for our imperfections.
Can we begin to see ourselves as God sees us? Can we grasp how deeply we are loved and how firmly we are held? If that feels impossible right now, let me remind you of a few things:
He has given you new birth into a living hope. (1 Peter 1:3-4)
He wants to give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
The Lord is near to you when you call on Him. (Psalm 145:18)
He came to give you life to the full! (John 10:10)
He is with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)
"I am with you! Do not be afraid." (John 14:27)
Our Father in heaven gives good gifts to those who ask! (Matthew 7:11)
These promises are for you. They are real and unshakable, even if you haven’t yet seen them fulfilled. Yet—such a small but powerful word. It requires patience, trust, and longing. But friend, it will be worth the wait!
All of heaven is cheering you on! The reward is coming. The fulfillment of your hopes is already in motion. Hold on—it’s going to be good!
Maybe today, God is whispering to you:"You’ll do better next time. You will succeed in your next attempt to love that difficult person. You will shine your light when others look your way. You will thrive in that hard place. I am with you! I am on your side. My Spirit is within you, empowering you. You’ve got this!"
Take a pause for a moment to meet with God. Share your honest concerns with Him and take time to sit with Him. He's listening.
